In this work, white hens are painted on delicate, almost transparent green Japanese paper. Subtle red shadows enhanced with pastel add depth and contrast. The composition is elevated by a green mat with a red background layer beneath the artwork, emphasizing the irregular, fibrous edges of the paper. A bold red wooden frame and museum glass complete the piece.
The interplay of green, red, and vivid white creates a striking visual effect. This colour palette—one of my favourites since my student years—continues to inspire my work. A contemporary piece that reflects my ongoing experiments with texture, colour, and form.
