A Full House of Character

A Full House of Character

 Original Watercolour and Ink Painting

 22 × 30.5 inches (55.9 × 77.5 cm)

These chickens have lived in my memory for so long that I no longer need to see them to paint them. I can bring them back from memory, each with her own presence, attitude, and unmistakable character. In A Full House of Character, familiar images of home meet the reality of contemporary urban life. My chickens carry fragments of my past into the present, connecting the place I came from with the city where I live today. There is humour in their expressions, individuality in their postures, and a little bit of human nature in the way they occupy the same space. An original watercolour and ink painting for collectors who appreciate contemporary art with personality, a personal story, and a touch of humour.
