Blue Bee is a delicate exploration of a bee rendered in unusual, vivid blue tones. This piece celebrates the quiet beauty and individuality of these tiny creatures, highlighting their fragility and grace. Painting this bee allowed me to experiment with colour while capturing the gentle shimmer and movement of its wings.
Bees are probably my favourite insects to paint right now, and in this work I focused on both their form and the subtle energy they carry. The blue hue adds a sense of calm and wonder, inviting the viewer to notice their presence in a new, reflective way.
For me, painting bees is both joyful and meditative — a small act of appreciation for the creatures that sustain our natural world.
