Painted after returning from Ukraine, where I spent time in my native village of Kovalivka. The neighbour's chickens caught my attention again — their funny personalities, strong colours and unmistakable characters. I wanted to bring that feeling into a long, horizontal composition, giving each chicken its own presence.
