Watercolour and ink on paper, unframed.
Chickens have been part of my life since childhood, always present in the everyday landscape I remember. The enthusiasm of people who follow my work encouraged me to take this subject further and create this large piece. Here, I played with scale, movement, and perspective, seeing each bird from a different angle—above, head-on, in profile, and from unexpected viewpoints. I enjoyed finding different ways to simplify and stylise their shapes while keeping each one full of character. The composition doesn’t follow the usual rules, but somehow it works. For me, that is part of the fun of the piece—a mix of familiar memories and a more contemporary way of seeing.
Please note that the paper has visible natural undulations; the artwork is offered unframed and unmounted.
