Two roosters meet in a moment of confrontation, each challenging the other for dominance. Their contrasting postures, gestures, and presence create a composition built around tension and movement. Inspired by a childhood memory, this painting reflects on shifting dynamics of power and the instinct to defend one’s place. Through expressive forms, bold contrasts and the physical language of the birds, the work explores rivalry, authority and the passage of time.
