Fluffy Bumblebee reflects my ongoing fascination with these gentle insects. I often pause to watch them closely — their softness, movement, and quiet purpose always draw my attention.
This larger watercolour piece was painted using a wet-on-wet approach, with details added afterward once the paper dried. The softness of the technique captures the bee’s airy texture and lightness, while the final fine lines bring clarity to its delicate form.
Through this work, I hope to share the warmth and appreciation I feel for bumblebees and to gently remind us all of their importance in the natural world.
