The tapestry Klyuchiv’s Bride embodies the beauty of Ukrainian wedding traditions. It was inspired by the image of a bride adorned with a lavish white wreath made of goose feathers — a symbol of purity, light, and celebration.
I first encountered this image as a teenager in old photographs that left a deep impression on me. Created later in Canada, the tapestry gains new meaning its decorative form merges the past and present, blending folk motifs with abstraction.
This work brings depth and elegance to any space while preserving a living connection to cultural heritage. Klyuchiv’s Bride stands as a bridge between generations and cultures, where the past seamlessly intertwines with the present, weaving the fabric of memory.
