Seven Hens, One Headache

Seven Faverolles hens, one rooster, and apparently not a quiet day in the yard. I painted these chickens from my own observations. The hens have their own little world going on, while the rooster is clearly in a hurry to get somewhere. They weren’t the easiest chickens to paint — each one has a personality of its own. I loved the contrast between the calm hens and the rooster rushing through it all. A little peaceful, a little chaotic, and definitely full of character.
